Label Text: Allan D’Arcangelo emerged as a first-generation Pop artist in the early 1960s with images of the highway, signage, and logos. This work shows his evolution toward more abstracted forms, sometimes inspired by the color and patterning of traffic barriers. Though floating in empty space, the yellow square and chevron bars suggest a subtle sense of depth through their interwoven appearance.
